Jason Wordie colored/ coloured Genesis.
This was the thing I saw that made me think he could do it, a cover drawn by Simon Roy for an early issue of Prophet. I got in touch with Jason and he came back with a sample like nothing we’d ever seen, or anyone else had ever seen, and possibly something Jason had not seen either.
The colours in Genesis were inspired by the woodblock prints of Hiroshi Yoshida, and the idea for those came from me finding a couple of them on Bette Breitweiser’s blog (thanks Bette!). We’ve put the color script Jason made before he colored the pages in the back of Genesis, and you can best see his work in the book.
